Good for the price. Used it for some small stumps in my yard. It is sharp enough for minor things

I work with a lot of tree branches from pruning and like to turn them into rustic furniture pieces, so I use this draw knife to strip off the bark before running them through other tools. The 10-inch blade is made from 1065 manganese steel, which holds a good edge and doesn’t chip easily with this kind of work. The wooden handles are shaped to give a solid grip, even when my hands are a bit tired from planing or sanding. After a fair amount of use, I haven’t seen any issues with the steel rusting or the handles loosening, and it’s stayed sharp with only occasional touch-ups. I knocked off one star because the blade spine could be thicker—sometimes there’s a little more flex than I’d like when I’m working on a knot or tougher grain. It still does the job, but a stiffer blade would feel more solid when tackling heavier cuts.

This is a high quality drawknife. The handles are hardwood and the blade is a top quality modern steel. The handles and blades are angled perfectly for the purpose intended, which is to do all sorts of things from making axe and other tool handles, debarking logs, etc. You’ll want to hone the blade before first use but this is common with all edge tools. The blade steel will hold an edge like a champ. I really like that it comes with a sheath so I can carry it in my tool bag without nicking the blade. This product is excellent value for the money.
