The steel was too brittle on mine. I bought it to chop down some live, soft bamboo thickets, and within minutes the blade had chipped. Just about anything slices through that bamboo, so I cannot understand why it would chip a machete.
BUT, the seller contacted me after my review and gave me a refund. That takes the risk out of buying from them.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
sheath is cheap but overall the blade is nice. came sharp and i mean sharp. but on the tip either its meant to be dull with a blade look or it was skipped during sharpening process. its a good size for hiking, camping, hunting, or in my case landscaping, does sit nice on the hip while walking or sitting on the mower. one other thing i didnt like about this product was the handle feels off in my hands. the curve in the handle should have been moved up a bit for a better grip in my opinion.
