Looks and feels like it was made half a century ago, when steel was steel and tools lasted forever. Comes with all you need to keep it sharp, but it holds an edge brilliantly. Restores my faith in toolmakers!

This little sucker has good hand feel, nice and compact, and looks good. The sheath is cheap vinyl but not unexpected, I’ll make a new one from leather. It’s heavy for “ultralight backpacking” but hard to get around that for this kind of item. It is stout enough to hammer on it with a rock without damaging it. Ideal for a short backpacking trip where weight isn’t too much of an issue.
